Porter-Cable FN250B 3/4-Inch to 2-1/2-Inch 16-Gauge Finish Nailer Review

FEATURES:
- 3/4-inch to 2-1/2-inch 16-gauge finish nailer with non-marring nose tip.
- Quick-release nose piece; adjustable depth of drive and muffled exhaust port.
- Sturdy aluminum magazine; Teflon cylinder for less friction.
This 16 gauge finish nailer from Porter Cable leaves a bigger hole than the 18 gauge but it is still acceptable for clear finishes on larger trim work. This finisher has great ergonomics, fires reliably, (keep your finger off of the trigger when plunging the nose) and overall does a very nice job, only thing, keep it oiled. As compared to Senco, this PC may look old school to some and not up to the mark, not so for others.
The nails hang down thru the magazine so you can see them moving as you fire and even easier to see when you are almost out of nails. It also has a depth stop so you can control the depth of the counter sink of the nails which is handy if you are doing thin stock. The exhaust port on the top rotates so you can control the direction and keep it from blowing in your face, otherwise no issues, a highly recommended nailer from Porter Cable.
