This Framing Nailer by Porter Cable is a real beauty, very well balanced machine, extremely easy to load, advance and clear. This is not an appearance nailer, for something like siding you may want to try the Porter-Cable RN175A Coil. Also interesting is the fact that such an affordable and relatively small compressor (2HP, 6 gallons) could produce more than enough pressure to power this gun. The compressor will produce 135 psi, and the gun's operating range is from 70-120 psi.

At 100psi the gun works like a beauty and the nails just pierce the wood nicely, the build of the nailer is also pretty solid and can easily withstand many drop-offs. The metal magazine is solid, the loading mechanism fast and stout, and the depth adjustment straight forward and rugged. But the true beauty is the trigger which allows single shot or bounce with the turn of this little dial. All in all a great nailer indeed for framing chores.
