Care and Maintenance Tips for Power Nailers
Got that handy power nailer that can shoot 100’s of nails in no time but are worried about how to keep it in top shape, well we have compiled some handy tips to guide you with cleaning and maintaining your nail gun.
- First and foremost make sure that the nail gun is switched off and disconnected from the mains supply, or if cordless then the batteries are removed.
- Keep the body of the nail gun clean and free from debris.
- Make sure that the magazine release lever and the trigger are kept clean and in good working order.
- Any worn or damaged parts should be replaced by qualified personnel. If the mains cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, or its service agent or similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
- There are normally no user-serviceable parts inside the nail gun and you should refer to qualified service personnel if internal maintenance is required.
